Presidents Welcome

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all players and parents to the club for the 2015 Junior Rugby League season. With the season commencing this weekend I wish everyone an enjoyable and successful season both on and off the field.

This year the club will be fielding 17 teams with all age groups represented. Over the last 4 to 6 weeks I have had the opportunity to get out and speak to a number of players, parents and team officials within the club. It’s great to see and hear that everyone is starting the upcoming season with a confident and positive outlook. During the pre-season the club had a number of teams compete in various carnivals and trial matches. It was pleasing to hear and see that all teams competing with not only a competitive attitude but displaying great sportsmanship at all times while representing the club. Very big congratulations must go the U8 red and U9 red teams winning their respective grand finals in the recent Dragons carnival held at Gowrie Oval. A special mention must go the U15s that played in the recent Rugby 9s hosted by the Woden Weston Rams. The boys made the semi final and can hold their heads high.

Although the club is fielding teams in all ages we still require players in the U10s, U13s and U14s age groups. I encourage all players to get out and ask their friends around their neighbourhood and at school, to come along and join our club and play the great game of rugby league.
